Competition Background

The Australian National Olympiad in AI (NOAI) is an important AI competition for secondary school students across Australia, aiming to discover Australia’s most promising young AI talent. Currently, there is no standardized AI curriculum for high school students globally, which makes such competitions unfamiliar to many parents. Australia, as one of the few countries featuring a Practice Round, is at the forefront of the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) selection process.

The IOAI competition is divided into Theory Round + Practice Round, reflecting the trend in cutting-edge AI fields that emphasizes both theory and practice.

We thank IMC TRADING as our Platinum Sponsor for fully supporting the 2025 NOAI selection process. Round 1 was free for all Australian students, with nearly 500 competitors participating in the Round 1 selection, representing a remarkable 30-fold increase compared to last year.
